Diagnostic Engineer - Powertrain and drivetrain

I joined BMW to follow my passion and work with automotive systems. My role comprised mainly of understanding the requirements and underlying issues within the vehicle and providing an action plan and guidelines for the rectification. The action plan could be implemented at the production plant itself or at the dealership workshops. As I worked with engineers and professionals from diverse backgrounds, I was able to develop a better perspective of the work.

I was instrumental at starting the diagnosis of BMW Motorrad bikes in Pune as well and helped train my peers on the equipment. The dealership also dealt with many supercars and exotic cars and working on them was challenging but extremely satisfying. I did get to test drive multiple Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces to name a few.

The work atmosphere was very encouraging and fast paced. I was welcomed from the first day and my team was understanding, experience and enthusiastic about the work. I believe that when you are truly passionate about the work, it brings out the best in all of us. I also participated at several diagnostic competitions held by BMW and won many laurels for Bavaria motors including the fastest valve timing chain diagnosis and the youngest participant. I cherished my time here and am grateful for the great team I got to work with
